Hi, I’m Tanya!
I’m a stay-at-home mom with a passion for travel, delicious and nutritious food, and finding joy in life’s everyday moments.
This blog is designed to share a glimpse into our family life, travel adventures (yes, even with kids!), flavorful meals, and simple ways to bring more joy into the daily routine.
Whether it’s discovering a hidden gem, whipping up a new family favorite in the kitchen, or just soaking up the magic in a regular weekday, I believe joy is everywhere—we just have to make space for it!
Thanks for stopping by—I hope you leave feeling a little more inspired to savor your own everyday moments!

My Journey
I grew up in Southern California, and from a very early age, I have always had a love for the ocean. My parents fondly remember a song I made up as a child. “I am Tanya of the waves of the ocean”, I would sing as I played in the gentle waves at the beach. The ocean captured my heart long ago, and it continues to draw me in with a magnetic force.
During my high school years, my family and I became very close to our neighbors from Spain. Their influence opened the door to my passion for food and travel. In college, it was this friendship that sparked my desire to study abroad in Barcelona, Spain. That experience ignited a passion for travel that’s only grown stronger with time.
After earning my Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, I moved to Santa Barbara, CA, where I met the love of my life. Our honeymoon was nothing short of magical! We traveled through Greece, Italy, and Southern France, and along the way, I completely fell in love with the joy of exploring new places.
Once our children arrived, we chose to make the big move to Texas. Life in the suburbs of Houston has brought us community, growth, and the sense of home that we were longing for.
Now we’re just a short drive from both sets of grandparents and my husband’s siblings. The move also allowed us to transition to a single income, giving me more time to be fully present and intentional in our home. We’re incredibly grateful to be part of a wonderful church community and a top-notch school district, both of which have made this season of life even more meaningful.
When our kids were younger, we put our passion for travel on the back burner to focus on the early years of parenting. Motherhood hit me like a wrecking ball! I immediately felt a deep calling to stay at home to raise my babies.
Now that they’re older, we’ve reignited that love for exploring new places—this time, with our kids by our side. We’ve chosen to prioritize experiences over toys and material things, creating lifelong memories together through travel and shared adventure.
